Clinical and Public Health Research Addressing Contemporary Healthcare Challenges

JMedScientiae Volume 4, Issue 3 (2025) presents 16 original research articles that showcase current advances in clinical medicine, public health, and biomedical sciences. The published studies cover a wide range of topics, including ophthalmology, internal medicine, pathology, nutrition, occupational health, dermatology, reproductive health, pediatrics, and community-based epidemiology, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of medical research.

The articles in this issue investigate contemporary health concerns such as refractive errors and visual disorders, pneumonia mortality, occupational dermatitis, glaucoma, urothelial carcinoma, nutritional status, menstrual health, menopausal symptoms, sleep quality, dysmenorrhea, vitiligo, pediculosis capitis, and lifestyle-related health issues. Together, these studies contribute valuable evidence to support preventive strategies, clinical decision-making, and improvements in healthcare delivery and medical education.

This issue also highlights the broad distribution of authors from multiple academic departments and healthcare institutions. The majority of contributors are affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Krida Wacana Christian University (UKRIDA), Jakarta, Indonesia, representing expertise across diverse disciplines including Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Pathology, Nutrition, Public Health, Dermatology, and Medical Education. In addition, several studies were conducted in collaboration with hospitals, community health settings, schools, and other healthcare institutions throughout Indonesia, demonstrating strong academic–clinical partnerships and expanding the journal's multidisciplinary and collaborative research network.
