Jurnal MedScientiae is an open-access scientific journal managed by Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Krida Wacana Christian University. This journal publishes scholarly articles in the fields of medicine and health sciences, including basic medical sciences, medical bioethics, cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, physiology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, anatomy, pharmacology, public health, optometry, nursing, medical education and other biomedical sciences.
The journal accepts research articles, literature reviews, systematic reviews, and case reports. All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and prepared according to the journal’s formatting guidelines. Each manuscript undergoes a peer-review process by experts in the relevant field.
Jurnal MedScientiae is published three times a year (April, August, and December). The journal does not charge any submission or publication fees.

Multidisciplinary Perspectives in Clinical and Health Sciences
JMedScientiae Volume 5, Number 2 (2026) brings together 14 scholarly contributions involving 38 unique authors and presenting multidisciplinary perspectives across clinical medicine, laboratory sciences, ophthalmology and optometry, public health, occupational health, mental health, and biomedical sciences. The issue encompasses original research, a literature review, and a clinical case report, reflecting a range of research approaches addressing relevant medical and health challenges.
The contributions cover diverse topics, including thalassemia, refractive errors and amblyopia, retinal pigment epithelial detachment, ocular complications of Mpox, varicose veins, sleep quality and productivity, antimicrobial activity of medicinal plants, fracture risk assessment, adolescent and postpartum depression, respiratory failure, and gallstone disease. The authors represent multiple areas of expertise, including Clinical Pathology, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Surgery, Anesthesiology, Occupational Health and Safety, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Pharmacology, and Radiology.
Although the authors' primary institutional affiliation is Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana (UKRIDA), the research encompasses diverse populations and settings, including hospitals, community health services, schools, and occupational environments across Jakarta, Bekasi, and Jember. This combination of multidisciplinary authorship, varied research settings, and clinically and socially relevant topics reflects JMedScientiae's commitment to advancing evidence-based medical and health sciences research and fostering scholarly communication across disciplines.
