Publication Ethics

Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics in accordance with international guidelines. All authors, editors, and reviewers are required to adhere to the following principles:

  1. Originality & Plagiarism
    • Manuscripts must be original works, relevant to the author’s field of expertise, and not published or under consideration in any other journal.
    • Plagiarism and self-plagiarism must be strictly avoided; a maximum similarity of 20% is allowed.
    • All quotations, ideas, images, or data from other sources must be properly cited.
  2. Copyright & Licensing
    • Authors must adhere to the journal's copyright policies.
    • All third-party material must have valid permissions or proper citations.
  3. Conflict of Interest
    • All financial or personal conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
  4. Ethical Approval & Informed Consent
    • Research involving humans or animals requires prior ethical approval and informed consent from relevant parties, including for case reports.
  5. Data Integrity
    • Authors bear responsibility for authentic and accurate data and must truthfully report all results, including negative findings.
  6. Reviewer & Editor Responsibilities
    • Reviewers must ensure fairness and confidentiality.
    • Editors maintain authority to reject manuscripts breaching ethical or scientific standards.
  7. Redundant Publication
    • Dividing a single study or duplicating publications (salami slicing) is prohibited.
