Hubungan Adiksi Internet dengan Tingkat Stres pada Mahasiswa Kedokteran

Salah satu akibat yang dapat ditimbulkan dari penggunaan internet adalah adiksi internet yang diketahui berhubungan timbal balik dengan stres. Penelitian cross-sectional dengan teknik simple random sampling ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara adiksi internet dengan tingkat stres pada mahasiswa kedokteran FKIK UKRIDA angkatan 2018. Sebanyak 110 responden berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Kuesioner Diagnostik Adiksi Internet dan Kuesioner Depression Anxiety Stress Scales-42 (DASS-42) Bahasa Indonesia. Dari seluruh responden yang berpartisipasi, ditemukan 43 responden (39,1%) mengalami adiksi internet dan mayoritas dari responden mengalami stres ringan dengan jumlah 20 responden (18,2%). Hasil uji Chi-square antara variabel adiksi internet dan tingkat stres menunjukkan ada hubungan antara adiksi internet dengan tingkat stres pada mahasiswa kedokteran FKIK UKRIDA angkatan 2018, p = 0,045 (< 0,05). Gejala-gejala adiksi internet dan stres dapat ditemukan pada mahasiswa yang tidak dapat mengontrol diri dalam menggunakan internet yang selanjutnya juga dapat berdampak pada keadaan fisik, psikis, dan sosial pada mahasiswa tersebut. Simpulan menyatakan ada hubungan antara adiksi internet dengan tingkat stres pada mahasiswa kedokteran FKIK UKRIDA angkatan 2018. Mahasiswa diharapkan dapat membagi waktu dan menggunakan internet seperlunya saja agar tanggung jawab akademik tidak terganggu serta akibat berat lainnya dapat terhindarkan.
