Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that it is an original, unpublished work
and is not currently under review in another journal. Furthermore, authors must ensure that
the writing style complies with the Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek guidelines and that all
supporting documentation has been completed. Please note that your manuscript may be
returned or rejected if your manuscript does not comply with the author guidelines.

The following are the writing requirements and the completeness of the documents that must
be included (uploaded):
1. Meet the general writing requirements:
a. Manuscripts must be submitted as a Word file, written in Indonesian or English, with a
word count between 3,000 and 6,000 words
b. Manuscripts must follow the specific writing guidelines according to their type: original
research, case report, or literature review.
c. The number of tables and figures should not exceed five each. Each table or figure
must have a clear title.
d. Tables should be placed on separate pages within a single file, and the same applies to
figures/images.
e. Citations and references must follow the Vancouver Referencing System.
2. Upload Ethical approval from the Research Ethics Committee or IRB has been obtained and
clearly indicated in the manuscript.
3. Upload Authorship with the title of the manuscript and signed by all authors.
4. Upload each image as a separate file. Ensure images are publication-ready and do not
display any information that could identify the patient.
