Abstract

Otitis Media Akut (OMA) adalah peradangan yang terjadi pada telinga bagian tengah selama kurang dari 3 minggu. Sekitar 80% anak pernah setidaknya satu kali mengalami insiden OMA di dalam hidupnya. Insiden OMA dapat menyebabkan terjadinya komplikasi berupa hilangnya pendengaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku orang tua terhadap penyakit otitis media akut di Rumah Sakit Family Medical Center pada tahun 2021. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan.103 subjek penelitian yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan data primer berupa kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reabilitasnya. Dari data yang didapatkan, mayoritas subjek adalah perempuan (66%), usia 38-47 tahun (33,9%), pendidikan menengah (37,9%), pendapatan setara/di bawah upah minimum regional (UMR) (66,1%), memiliki 2 orang anak (37,9%), dan bekerja sebagai ibu rumah tangga (43,7%). Mayoritas subjek memiliki tingkat pengetahuan sedang (68%), tetapi sikap dan perilaku baik (70,9% dan 82,5%) terhadap OMA. Perlu dilakukan edukasi mengenai gejala dan faktor risiko OMA serta pentingnya posisi menyusui sebagai salah satu faktor pencetus OMA.
