Prolonged Grief Disorder di Masa Pandemi COVID-19: Suatu Tinjauan Pustaka

Duka cita umumnya dapat mereda dengan sendirinya, sedangkan individu yang mengalami duka cita secara terus-menerus dan mengganggu fungsinya selama lebih dari satu tahun dikatakan mengalami “prolonged grief disorder”. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk memaparkan faktor resiko prolonged grief disorder, diagnosa dan asesmen, tata laksana, serta implikasi pandemi COVID-19 terhadap prolonged grief disorder. Dalam melakukan pencarian literatur kata kunci yang digunakan adalah: complicated grief, persistent complex bereavement disorder, pandemic COVID-19, dan prolonged grief disorder. Total artikel yang ditemukan melalui database adalah 187 artikel, yang terdiri dari PubMed 155 artikel dan Google Scholar 32 artikel. Artikel-artikel tersebut dilakukan penilaian kritis dengan hasil akhir 10 artikel dimasukan kedalam literatur review ini. Tinjauan Pustaka ini menunjukkan adanya potensi peningkatan kasus prolonged grief disorders akibat pandemi COVID-19 di masa depan. Beberapa skala penilaian, termasuk self-report dan kuesioner dapat digunakan untuk menilai gejala duka cita tertentu dan untuk melacak kemajuan pengobatan. Diagnosis prolonged grief disorder tidak semata-mata didasarkan pada instrumen self-report tetapi juga mencakup evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh dokter. Pendekatan berbasis bukti baik psikofarmaka atau psikoterapi seperti complicated grief treatment terbukti mengobati gejala prolonged grief disorder.
