Conflict of Interest Policy

Conflicts of interest may compromise the objectivity and integrity of the peer-review and publication process. Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek has the following policy to deal with conflicts of interest.

Authors
Authors are required to include an authors’ statement in every submission to the Journal. This form contains declaration of no conflict of interest involving the authors.

Reviewers
On receiving a review invitation, and before accepting the review invitation, reviewers must evaluate potential financial, personal, or institutional conflicts of interest. Reviewers must disclose any potential bias to the handling Editor, who will decide whether the reviewer should proceed or they should withdraw.

Editors
The editor-in-Chief assigns Section editors to handle a manuscript. When section editors are assigned a manuscript, they must assess any potential competing interests. If a conflict exists, the Editor must notify the Editor-in-Chief or the Managing Editor so the manuscript can be reassigned to an unbiased member of the editorial board.
