About the Journal

Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek (J Kedokt Meditek) (e-ISSN: 2686–0201, p-ISSN: 2686–1437) is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes open-access articles. The journal began publishing in 1994 under the initial name Jurnal Meditek. Since 2010, it has used the name Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Krida Wacana Christian University now manages the journal.

Journal Kedokteran Meditek established an open-access platform for medical and health articles. It supports the development of medical and health sciences in Indonesia and globally. The editorial team prioritizes manuscripts in English. The editorial board maintains publication quality through peer review and open access.

This journal focuses on clinical and community medicine, medical biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, pharmacy, and other biomedical sciences. The journal invites authors in the medical and health fields to submit manuscripts aligned with its scope. Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek accepts original research, rlishing original research articles in each issue.

Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek holds Sinta 3 accreditation from the National Journal Accreditation Board (Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Iare case reports, and systematic reviews on unique topics. The editorial team prioritizes pubndonesia) under Decree No. 204/E/KPT/2022, effective from Volume 28, Number 1, 2022. Starting in 2025, the journal publishes six issues annually in January, March, May, July, September, and November.

Aims and Scope of the Journal

The Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek aims to advance medical, health, and biomedical sciences in Indonesia. This journal provides a platform for sharing research findings, concepts, and scholarly work from clinicians, academics, researchers, and healthcare professionals. Through this knowledge exchange, the journal seeks to stimulate scientific progress and enhance the quality of healthcare services and medical education.

The Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek publishes articles in clinical medicine, community medicine, medical biology and biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, pharmacy, and related biomedical fields. Article topics include biomedical sciences, genetic engineering, pharmacology, herbal medicine, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, neuropsychiatry, ophthalmology, immunology, histopathology, parasitology, clinical pathology, occupational medicine, and other clinical specialties.

This journal invites submissions from professionals in medicine and related health disciplines consistent with its aims and scope. The Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek accepts original research, rare case reports, and systematic literature reviews on novel or uncommon topics. The editorial team manages the manuscript mix, prioritizing a majority of original research articles per issue.

Editorial Board

Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek follows a structured editorial workflow, assigning each editor clear responsibilities to maintain publication quality. The Editor-in-Chief supervises the entire process and ensures all editors fulfil their roles.

Editor-in-Chief

Oversees publication quality, evaluates manuscript readiness, coordinates the editorial workflow, and guides the journal’s scientific and managerial development.

Associate Editor

Supports the Editor-in-Chief by evaluating submitted manuscripts for quality, relevance, and alignment with the journal’s scope before peer review.

Advisory Editor

A field expert with an international reputation who ensures published manuscripts meet high standards, verifies alignment with the journal’s aims, may assist in reviews, and provides strategic input for journal improvement.

Copy Editor

Ensures manuscripts are clear, consistent, and compliant with the journal’s style by editing language, grammar, and formatting before publication processing.

Production Editor

Manages the manuscript production process, including layout and preparation, ensuring adherence to the journal’s formatting and publication standards.

Publisher

Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek is published by Fakultas Kedokteran dan Kesehatan Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana, Jakarta, since 2010.  

Funding

As a non-profit journal, Jurnal Kedokteran Meditek covers most of the operational costs of publishing, including personnel for journal management, DOI registration, copyediting, layout, and long-term archiving
